Boru Triathlon Club is based in Killaloe/Ballina with the goal of helping members reach health, fitness and personal goals
Welcome to Boru Tri Club
Boru Triathlon Club is based in the historic towns of Killaloe/Ballina, on the borders of Co. Clare and Tipperary. Our goal is to help members reach their health, fitness, and competitive goals. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned athlete you will be welcomed into Boru with open arms. The peer group encouragement and expert advice will have you achieving never-anticipated heights.
We provide organised swim, cycle, and run sessions year-round, allowing members to improve their fitness and technique in a fun and friendly environment. We also believe in building friendships and lasting bonds through a community of like-minded people, an aim which is fostered by regular social activities.
The focus of the club’s swimming activities is between May and September when we can use the great amenity of Lough Derg.
Killaloe/Ballina Leisure Cycles have organised cycles every Sunday leaving Killaloe at 8am during the summer and 9am in the winter.

New Member – Camile Slattery
My name is Camille Slattery. I am 38 and a mother of 3. I started with the club in April 2022. I was very unsure of how it would go because it was my first time on a racing bike and first time cycling with a group. The members of the club put me at ease straight away and within a few weeks.
